About Pyramid
Pyramid Arts has been conducting NAC-approved programmes in schools since 2004. We have conducted over 400 sessions, workshops and courses at Singapore public, private and international schools, including over 200 of our own NAC-endorsed programmes as well as collaborations with other providers and classes and courses outside of the NAC-AEP system. Pyramid Founder and Artistic Director, Amit Gilboa
Pyramid's Artistic Director, Amit Gilboa, is a well-established figure in Singapore’s arts scene. He has appeared in over 1,000 performances in the region since 2003, including WOMAD Singapore 2003 and 2004, seven different appearances at the Esplanade (Opening Festival, Flipside 2004 and 2005, Lunchbox, Pesta Raya 2004, National Day 2005 and BiteSize 2007), Singapore Turkey Friendship Association Gala Dinner 2003, 2004 and 2005, ZoukOut 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007, Singapore Fashion Festival 2004 and 2006 and performances for National University of Singapore, Republic Polytechnic, Asian Civilisations Museum, National Arts Council, and Singapore Tourism Board among many others.
Besides performances, Amit has experience teaching music as well. He taught at LASALLE SIA as a part time lecturer in 2005 and 2006, handling the school’s World Percussion Ensemble. From 2003 to 2007 he also taught special needs children at Genesis School for Special Education. Outside of NAC auspices, Amit has also done numerous training and workshop events for children, adults, musicians and dancers in Singapore and the rest of Asia.
